Ms Climent, would you mind a blantantly glowing general comment from a fan? I first saw your work at the Boca Raton Museum of Art a short while ago, and stood in front of your paintings as long as I could, completely enchanted by the complex, haunting, and deeply personal world they suggested. I had always invested a great deal of symbolic and emotional value to objects since my own childhood, and it was wonderful to see someone gather and compose their personal histories in such a way, and render them so beautifully. And I love how the very fact of their being painted at all makes them very much objects of the here and now, the uniting of past and present. I think of them frequently, and am very please to discover your website and your blog. Your work, though different from my own, has informed my own art making, and I'm very glad to be able to tell this to you personally. Thank you.
Read the article in Friday's NYT's (Eric Konigsberg) article. It is so good to know there is an Elena Climent in this world, and how rare it is to see this sedulous personal expression find space in this noisy world for her voice. KEEP GOING dear one.
